Hopefully, as a USD 259 parent, you are already aware of the budget crisis our district faces during this upcoming school year.
In case you haven’t heard, cuts in state funding for public schools have caused USD 259 to face $25 million in budget reductions for the 2010-2011 school year. While the BOE was tasked with a similar situation for the 2009-2010 school year, they did their best to make cuts with as little impact to classroom and staff positions as possible. Unfortunately, this time, it’s going to really hurt…everyone.
